Khazrati Imam Complex
The Khazrati Imam Complex is one of the most important religious and historical landmarks in Tashkent, serving as a spiritual center of the city for centuries. Located in the old part of Tashkent, the complex reflects the rich Islamic heritage and architectural traditions of Uzbekistan.
The complex is named after Hazrati Imam, also known as Kaffal Shashi, a respected scholar, theologian, and poet who lived in the 10th century. His мавзолей became the foundation around which the entire ensemble later developed.
Khazrati Imam includes several important buildings, such as the Barak-Khan Madrasa, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, Muyi Muborak Library, and mausoleums dating from different historical periods. One of the most significant treasures preserved here is the famous عثمان Quran, believed to be one of the oldest Qurans in the world and associated with the third caliph of Islam, Uthman ibn Affan.
Architecturally, the complex combines traditional Islamic design with elegant blue domes, detailed tilework, spacious courtyards, and carved wooden elements. The peaceful atmosphere and harmonious layout make it one of the most beautiful religious sites in Tashkent.
